Wouldn't 5(2x-4)=4x-2(1-3x) be an impossible solution?

Maybe Melody can give you a transfusion. She seems to escape its clutches quickly. Maybe she developed an immunity during her professional teaching years.

5(2x-4)=4x-2(1-3x)

10x-20=4x-2-6x

10x-20=-2x-2

12x-20=-2

12x=18

x=1.5

5(2x-4)=4x-2(1-3x)  simplify

10x - 20 = 4x - 2 + 6x

10x - 20  = 10x - 2     subtract 20x from both sides

-20 = -2

And this is impossible.....thus, no solution exists.....

UNFORTUNATELY MY IMMUNITY TO CDD IS NOT TOTAL.

IT IS A RECURRING ILLNESS - IT RECURS IN WAVES AND THEN GOES INTO REMISSION FOR A TIME.

IT IS A GOOD THING THAT CPHILL RECOVERED QUICKLY FROM HIS MOST RECENT RECURRENCE.

 

YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS OF COURSE NAUSEATED.

YOU SUFFER FROM THESE RECURRENCES AS WELL.  

THIS IS WHY YOU ARE SO HARD ON THOSE WHO SUFFER - YOU SEE YOU OWN WEAKNESS IN THEM.
