Write the sentence as a proportion: five thirds is to one ninth as five halves is to one third.

(5/3) / (1/9)  = (5/2) / (1/3)   "is to" means "divide" in this case  !!!

Note, however, that this isn't a valid proportion because the two sides are unequal......
