2x>5 or -(5/7)x-4>7

 

2x>5     divide both sides by 2

x > 5/2

 

-(5/7)x-4>7       add 4 to both sides

-5/7x > 11        multiply both sides by -7/5  and reverse the inequality sign

x < -77/5

"Or"  usually means "Union"

So....the solution set is

(-∞, -77/5) U [5/2, ∞)
