x+2/ 3 = x-5/4
$$x+\frac{2}{3}&=&x-\frac{5}{4}\\\\$$
this has no solutions since 2/3 cannot equal -5/4
Perhaps you should have put brackets in your question but I have answered the question that you presented. !
<=> (x+3)*4 = 3*(x-5)
<=> 4x+12 = 3x - 15
<=> x= -27

I tink you intended your first bracket to have (x+2)
