(x+7)/2=5x/3      multiply boths sides by the common denominator of 2,3.....i.e., 6....so we have

3(x+7) = 10x      simplify

3x + 21  = 10x   subtract 3x from both sides

21 = 7x              divide both sides by 7

3 = x
