need help x(x-3)=0

 

The letters stand for numbers.

The only way that 2 numbers can multiply together to give zero is if one or the other (or both) is zero.

Think about it - this is very important!

so

If     x*(x-3)=0

then either

x=0   or  x-3=0  

x=0   or     x=3
