Y=1/2x^2 Which Way Does This Concave?
The coefficient of x^2 is 1/2 whid is POSITIVE
So the parabola point UP
it is CONCAVE UP
And...to add to what Melody said....if you know some Calculus, the second derivative of this = 1... meaning that this function is "concave up" for all values of x......
