y=(x+7)(x+1)

roots are -7 and -1

What is the vertex?

x value is average of the roots = (-7+-1)/2 = -4

sub x value in to get y value

y= (-4+7)(-4+1) = 3*-3 = -9

vertex ( -4, -9)

What is the axis of symmetry?      x= -4
