x = yz + y
The answer sheet says the answer is:
y = x / z + 1
I have followed the rules of doing the same to both sides etc but cannot get to this answer or work out where the 1 has come.
Please help.
Make y the subject.....note that the right side can be factored as
x = y (z + 1) now....divide both sides by (z + 1) and we have that
x / ( z + 1) = y
