You forget the last two digits of your password for a website.
a. What is the probability that you randomly choose the correct digits?
There are 100 possibilities for the last two digits [ if we include 00].....therefore....you have 1/100 chance [1 % ] chance of choosing the correct one.....
Assuming that it is in fraction form, 1/676 . Also, I am assuming that it is the English alphabet, with 26 letters.
Work-
\(\frac{1}{(26\times2)}=\frac{1}{676}\)
COMBINING two of the above answers 2 digits comprise 10 nemerals and 26 letters for each space (36 possibilites for each space) if you disallow special characters (!@#$%^&* etc)
36 x 36 = 1296 possibilities probability of guessing the correct last two digits then becomes 1/1296
Question is unclear in that it does not say WHAT is allowed in the last two digits...numbers only? Letters only? Numbers AND letters only? Special characters??? etc....
YMMV ! LOL
