I am confused at what the answer sheet says

In the first one, IF u solve for x the answer comes to 0.625 or 5/8. So substitute the value of x into the second equation the answer comes to 9.6 or 48/5.

But IF my guess is right so in the first one the equation is $\frac{1}{x} + 4=8$ and u see that in the 2^nd equation its $\frac{1}{x} +8$ then the answer should be 16 cuz since +8 is 2 times +4 so then the answer will also be *2.

Hope u got my point.

How long did it take u write in Latex plus with the table?

$d^2*π*h/4$ = 3,500² * $π$ *5505 /4= 15132659.11 considering u need the volume then u should round the answer to 4 s.f which will be around 15130000 mm³ . Now if u want the answer in either cm³ or m³ then just use the basic S.I units to convert the answer. 

Next problem

15130000 mm³ = 15130 cm³

Density = $\rho=m/V$

             = $\rho= 414/15130$

             = $\rho= 0.027 gcm^-3$ or $27.36 kgm^-3$

For the first problem I divided the equation by 4 cuz i dont know if only the h is being divided by 4 or the whole equation.

If only the h is being divided by 4 then all the answers will be changed.
