Why when i punch this in the calculator it gives me an error instead of

 

\(\frac{1}{0}= \begin{Bmatrix} -∞\\ ∞ \end{Bmatrix}\)

It's because, zero cant be divided

ZERO in the denominator is 'undefined'..... as the denomintaor gets smaller and smaller and APPROACHES Zero, the answer approaches infinity.....Depending on which side you APPROACH zero from ( - or +)  it coud be  - infuinity or + infinity
