i dont get what i have to do with the fraction

You would multiply it by the two. In math, whenever something is in perentheses that ususally means that you multiply it by the number in front of it (think of distributive property). For example, 2(1/3)+3 you would multiply 2 by 1/3 and add 3. 

 

In your case, 2*3/2 is 6/2 or 3 and then add -7, which gives you -4.

2(3/2)+-7   .....we don't have to do anything with it.....just distribute the "2" outside the parentheses across it....so we have....

2 * 3/2  - 7 =

3 - 7  =

-4

You have to do (2*(3/2))+(-7)
