-2(3x - 4) + 2x  =  6x(1 - x) - 6

Using the distributive property:

-6x + 8 + 2x  =  6x - 6x2 - 6

Simplifying:

-4x + 8  =  6x - 6x2 - 6

Getting all the terms to one side:

    0  =  - 6x2 + 10x - 14

To make the problem easier to solve, divide every term by -2:

   0  =  3x2 - 5x + 7

Use the quadratic formula with a = 3, b = -5, and c = 7:

   x  =  [ 5 ± √( (-5)2 - 4(3)(7) ) ] / [ 2(3) ]

   x  =  [ 5 ± √( 25 - 84 ] / [ 6 ]

   x  =  [ 5 ± √( -59 ) ] / [ 6 ]
