23.5 x 10= 235

Whenever multiplying a decimal by a power of ten, move the decimal place to the right how many times there are terminal zeros. It is similar with dividing, but you would move the decimal place to the left , instead, according to how many terminal zeros are in the power of ten. In this  case, because you are dividing by ten, you would move the decimal place over once, giving you the answer 235.
