The formula for the slope of a line is  m  =   (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1).

Letting x1 = -7, y1 = 9, x2 = -7, and y2 = 3:  m  =  (3 - 9) / (-7 - -7)   =  -6 / 0  <-- undefined.

It's a vertical line, so it has "no slope" or an "undefined slope".
