\(\frac{1}{2}*8*4\) simplifies to \(16\).

\(\frac{1}{2}*8*4\)

Multiplying by 1/2 is the same as dividing by two. The rest should be fairly simple:

\(\frac{1}{2}*8*4=\frac{8*4}{2}=\frac{32}{2}=16\)
