A 12-inch candle begins to burn at a constant rate. The function that models the height, h, in inches of the candle after t minutes is given by this equation. Enter your answers in the boxes.

h(t)=−15t+12

The range of h is the set of real numbers that are greater than or equal to [box] and less than or equal to [box] . {nl}

h(t)=−15t+12     "h"   will be greatest when t  = 0  →   h  = 12

And when it burns completely down, h  will = 0

So....the range is

0  ≤ h ≤ 12    " h is greater or equal to 0   and less than or equal to 12 "
