A bullet is fired straight up from a gun with a muzzle velocity of 341 m/s. Neglecting air resistance, what will be its displacement after 2.2 s? The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2 . Answer in units of m

initial velocity is u it is upwards

acceleration is   $$\ddot x$$

$$\\u=341\\
\ddot x=-9.8\\
\dot x =-9.8t+341\\
x=(-9.8t^2)/2+341t+c\\
$let the initial displacement be 0 so c=0$\\
x=(-4.9t^2)+341t\\
when \;\;t=2.2\\
x=-4.9*2.2^2\;+\;341*2.2\\
etc$$

ok Linarose you messaged me that you do not understand my variables.

I have done this as a calculus question.

Perhaps you need it to be done with physics formulas.

Is that the problem?  Let me know.  :)
