If the total area of a trapazoid is 21 square feet, one of the bases is 5 feet and the other base is 2 feet, what is the height?

 

The area of a trapezium is the average of the parallel sides times by the perpendicular height.

Tha average of the parallel sides is  (5+2)/2 = 3.5 feet

 

21=3.5*height

height = 21/3.5 = 6 feet
