On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, I will be flying from Portland, Oregon to Reno, Nevada to visit with my aunt and uncle; my mom's oldest sister out of three other sisters, my mom being the oldest of the four sisters.  The distance the airplane will be traveling is 438 miles.  My boarding pass says it will take 1 hour and 33 minutes to fly the 438 miles.  With the given information, how can I figure out what the speed of the airplane will be, assuming the speed of the airplane remains the same for the whole flight?  Please show how you got to your answer.

Average speed=Distance / Time

A=438 / 1.55     (you must convert 33 minutes into hours by dividing 33/60 =.55 of an hour)

A=282.58 miles per hour.
