How would you factor the following: (I believe these use imaginary numbers)

(a^2)+4b^2

(9a^2)+25b^2

(8a^2)+16b^2

Only this one can be factored:

(8a^2)+16b^2 =8(a^2 + 2b^2)

Using imaginary numbers you could do the following

a2 + 4b2 = (a + 2ib)(a - 2ib)

9a2 + 25b2 = (3a + 5ib)(3a - 5ib)
