There are 100 balls in a bag. 0.25 of them are red balls, and the rest are green and blue balls. If there are 1/4 as many green balls as blue balls. How many blue balls are there?

Do you mean 25% of the balls are red?

25 are red

So

green  + blue = 75

And there  are 4 times as many  green balls as blue

So

4B +  B =   75

5B  = 75

B =  75 /5  =  15  = blue ones

And the number of green ones  =  60

There are 100 balls in a bag.

Number of Red Balls = 0.25 * 100

                                  = 25/100 * 100 = 25

   Remaining Balls = 100 - 25 = 75

   Let there be x blue balls.

              Green Balls = 1/4x

                x + 1/4x = 75

               (4x + x)/4 = 75

                          5x = 75 * 4

                            x = (7515 * 4)/5

                               x = 60

There are 60 blue balls.
