The diagonals of a rhombus measure 18 feet and 12 feet. What is the perimeter of the rhombus? Express your answer in simplest radical form.
Sorry....I forgot that
4 √117 =
4 √[9 * 13] =
4 * 3 √13=
12√ 13 ft
Is that better ???
So, you would divide the rhombus into 4 right triangles. You would find the measure of the legs of those triangles by dividing the diagonals by 2. 18/2=9, 12/2=6. Now with the measures of the legs of the triangle, you would apply pythagorean theorem to find the hypotenuse, the side length of the rhombus. 92+62=117 √117 in simplest radical form is 3√13. Because there are four sides you would multiply 3√13 by 4. 3√13*4=12√13. So 12√13 is the perimeter. If you have any questions or feedback please tell me!
Hay, you little smart a-s-s kid. What do you mean you guess?
Someone just might do some division and multiplication on you, then you will be talking out your a-s-s full time.
Awesomeee, this question is asked, and responded to, very rudely!
It is time for you to be polite and to start participating in your own learning.
Perhaps I have missed something but I have seen no evidence that you have learned anything from us.
You just seem to be collecting the answers!
Next time you ask a question ask politely and tell us what ideas you have come up with on your own!
When we answer or give you a hint then respond to us, and make sure you are polite!
