You need to memorize the 30-60-90 triangle and 45-45-90 triangle

This will help immensly

First we know that tan is opposite of adjacent

so sqrt(3)/1 is our equation

sqrt(3) is opposite of the pi/3 angle

So tan(sqrt3)) is 

pi/3
