First you must note that x cannot = 0 because you cannot divide by 0. This will be a restriction on the domain of the answer.

Now, the easiest way to approach problems like this is to multiply both sides by the lowest common denominator. In this case that is x.

You will then have a quadratic equation and you will solve it accordingly.
