The y intercept will occur at a point where x = 0   (Think about this  !!! )    ....so.....letting x = 0, we have

2(0) + 3y = 6

0 + 3y = 6

3y = 6     divide by 3 on both sides

y = 2  ......so......the  y intercept occurs at (0, 2)
