A MAN IS WALKING ALONG A RAILROAD TRACK AND SEE A TRAIN RUSHING TOWARD HIM FULL STEAM AHEAD. INSTEAD OF IMMEDIATELY GETTING AWAY FROM THE TRACK, THE MAN RUNSA IN THE DIRRECTION OF THE TRAIN FOR ABOUT 15 FEET AND ONLY THEN JUMP OFF THE TRACK. WHY DOES HE DO THIS?

For the second I have no idea.
The third I am thinking that the man did not want to die so there was a reason he had to run 15 feet then jump. Maybe there was some way out he could only get to if he ran those 15 feet. Maybe a door. Or he was in a tunnel or a bridge. If it was a tunnel and the quickest way to get out was the way in then that might be it. Or maybe it was a brigde plus a tunnel. Idk.
