How are election polls related to probability?

They aren't.  Other polls might have validity, but the intent of political polls is to shape public opinion, rather than to discover it.

Can you please not curse, I'm just really sensitive...

Well, Election polls help a person see where they are at, and may help sway votes, with people getting caught up in the majority vote, and why rigging polls can make a person slightly more likely to win...

Election polls are only somewhat related to probability.

Like Guest and Azalea, these polls give an overview of the population's beliefs using a sample.

You may be swayed into voting for the opponent, but there really is no clear path to probability other than the fact that you might be angry/sad on that day for whatever reason which could affect your vote.
