Do you know Pythagorean Theorem? Well it is a^2+b^2=c^2. The hypotenuse is the c squared. Square your hypotenuse and one of the legs that you know the value of. Subtract the b^2 from your hypotenuse squared. You will get the value of a^2. Well, you are not done yet. You have to find the square root of your outcome. Then, you will finally get to you final answer. Hope this helped and was what you were asking for!
