f(x) = 2x: (-∞,∞) All real numbers

f(x) = x^2 + 1: (-∞,∞) All real numbers

f(x) = 1/x - 1: (-∞, 0) ∪  (0, ∞)

f(x) = (x - 5)^2: (-∞,∞) All real numbers
