Find the greatest common factor (GCF)

\(9x^3y\ and\ 15x^2y^2\)

Hello Guest!

\(9x^3y=3^2\cdot x^3\cdot y\\ 15x^2y^2=3\cdot5\cdot x^2\cdot y^2\)     \(GCF = 3\cdot x^2\cdot y\)        (D)

\(\frac{9x^3y}{15x^2y^2}=\frac{9x^3y\color{blue}/3x^2y}{15x^2y^2\color{blue}/3x^2y}=\color{blue}\frac{3x}{5y}\)
