geometric sequence

If this is a geometric sequence with the first term = 5,

and the common ratio is 2 1/2 = 5/2,

then the sequence becomes:

5                                                                      <--- first term                n = 1

5 x 5/2  =  25/2                                                <--- second term          n = 2

5 x (5/2)²  =  5 x 25/4  =  125/4                       <--- third term               n = 3

5 x (5/2)³  = 5 x 125/8  =  625/8                      <--- fourth term             n = 4

5 x (5/2)⁴  =  5 x 625/16  =  3125/16               <--- fifth term                 n = 5

etc.
