2/3-1/2+(-5/7) = ?

2/3-1/2 (find commum denominators) -> 4/6-3/6 = 1/6 + (-5/7) (find the commum denominators again) -> 7/42 - 30/42 = -23/42

Simplify the following:
2/3-1/2-5/7

Put 2/3-1/2-5/7 over the common denominator 42. 2/3-1/2-5/7  =  (14×2)/42-(21)/42+(6 (-5))/42:
(14×2)/42-(21)/42+(6 (-5))/42

14×2  =  28:
28/42-(21)/42+(6 (-5))/42

6 (-5)  =  -30:
28/42-(21)/42+-30/42

28/42-21/42-30/42  =  (28-21-30)/42:
(28-21-30)/42

28-21-30 = 28-(21+30):
28-(21+30)/42

 | 3 | 0
+ | 2 | 1
 | 5 | 1:
(28-51)/42

28-51  =  -(51-28):
-(51-28)/42

 | 4 | 11
 | 5 | 1
- | 2 | 8
 | 2 | 3:
Answer: | (-23)/42
