what is measure of an angle if it is less 120 less then four times its own supplementary 

 

pls help me im really confuse at this type of question

Supplementary: 180

(180-x)*4-120

x=720-4x-120

5x=120

180-120=\(\boxed{60^\circ}\) degrees.

Angle:  x

Supplement to x:  180 - x

 

x = 4(180 - x) - 120

x = 720 - 4x - 120                         Now, add 4x to both sides:

5x  =  720 - 120

5x  =  600

x = 120

 

Angle = 120; supplement = 180 - 120 = 60.
