There is not a correct answer, (-m-3+2+m=7) = (-3+2=7) = (-1=7)

Answer = (-1≠7)

m=-1
but how can i get that number?
f(x)=(m+3)x+m-2
f(-2)=-7

When X = - 2, F(-2) = - 7
When F(x) = (m + 3) x + m - 2

-7 = (m+3)(-2)+m-2

-2m - 6 + m - 2 = -7

-2m + m = - 7 + 6 +2

-m = 1

solve(-7 = (m+3)(-2)+m-2, m)

now you divide by -1 each side!
here you go!

No variable remains after we simplify the left side.

We get

- 1 = - 7

An impossibility!!!

All these answers - ??

-m-3+2+m = -m+m-3+2 = 0m-1 = -1

-1 can never equal -7.

Therefore there ARE NO ANSWERS.

(Which is what most people already said!)

READ THIS

I juste want to make a little return on this question.

Babyy wrote on the 3RD post the real equation that she want us to resolve to find M...

Take a look and you'll see!

Okay Sam,
This is the 3rd post.
f(-2)=(m+3)*-2 +m-2=-7
-2(m+3)+m-2 = -7
-2m-6+m-2 = -7
-m-8 = -7
-m = 1
m=-1
NOW we appear to be in agreement. Thanks Sam.

Babyy, you would have been better off to dump the incorrect thread and start over with a new thread. This caused a LOT of confusion.
