Multiply both sides by t2 + 10 

 

That gives you           14t = 2t2 + 20

 

Rearrange                  2t2 – 14t + 20 = 0 

 

Factor                         (2t – 4) (t – 5) = 0 

 

                                       t = 2  and  t = 5
