\Now I wasint sure about Part B to 

For this problem you can just cut it through the midlle with a line from point D to point B and then just apply the area of a triangle which is 

\(\frac{1}{2}* Base * Height = area\)  

 ; ) 

(Note) this works because this shape is symectraical.
