L = 4W + 7

Perimeter = 2(L + W)   ...so....

44 = 2 [ (4W + 7) + W ]   simplify

44 = 2 [ 5W + 7 ]    divide both sides by 2

22  = 5W + 7       subtract 7 from boh sides

15 = 5W       divide both sides by 5

3 cm = W

And L =  4W + 7   =  4(3) + 7   = 12 + 7 = 19 cm

cool cool cool
