\(\frac{4}{b}-\frac{1}{2b}=-\frac{7}{4}\)

 

\(\frac{2}{2}\times\frac{4}{b}-\frac{1}{2b}=-\frac{7}{4}\)

 

\(\frac{8}{2b}-\frac{1}{2b}=-\frac{7}{4}\)

 

\(\frac{7}{2b}=-\frac{7}{4}\)

 

\(\frac{7}{2b}\times2b=-\frac{7}{4}\times2b\)

 

\(7=-\frac{7}{4}\times2b\)

 

\(7=-\frac{14b}{4}\)

 

\(7\times4=-\frac{14b}{4}\times4\)

 

\(28=-\frac{14b}{4}\times4\)

 

\(28=-14b\)

 

\(\frac{28}{-14}=\frac{-14b}{-14}\)

 

\(\frac{2}{-1}=\frac{-14b}{-14}\)

 

\(-2=\frac{-14b}{-14}\)

 

\(-2=1b\)

 

\(-2=b\)

 

\(b=-2\)
