3x+2 + x-5 = 6x-23

 

x = 11

(x - 9) + (3x + 2) =(6x - 23), solve for x
x + 3x - 6x =- 23 - 2 + 9
- 2x = - 16
x = - 16 / -2
x = 8
NP =3x + 2 =3*8 + 2 =24 + 2 =26

(x - 5) + (3x + 2) =(6x - 23), solve for x
x + 3x - 6x =- 23 - 2 + 5
- 2x = - 20
x = - 20 / -2
x = 10
NP =3x + 2 =3*10 + 2 =30 + 2 =32
