How do I find the voltage drop across 1 resistor? There are 4 resistors in parallel and the total resistance of the circuit is 6.35 and the voltage is 12. the total current is 1.89. the resistors are 25ohms, 15ohms, 45ohms, and 35ohms. I'm trying to find the voltage drop across the 45ohm resistor so I can find the current across it. From there I will need to find the total power across the whole circuit.
If the resistors are in parallel the voltage across each of them is the same. The resistance of the 4 parallel resistors is 6.35 ohms, which you say is the resistance of the circuit, so there are no other resistors present. Hence the voltage across the 45 ohm resistor is 12 volts.
