help!

explanation please! what is x if 10^x = 2 and log 2 = 0.30

Well, 10^x=2, we take the log of both sides,

Log(10^x)=Log (2)

xLog(10)=Log(2)

x*1=.30102999............

x=.30102999................

This just means if you raise 10^.30102999=2

It look like this when you solve

10^x = 2

Log(10^x)  = Log(2)

x*Log(10) = Log(2)

$x=\frac{log(2)}{log(10)}$

$x=\frac{0.30}{1}$

$x=0.30$
