The Apollo's Chariot, a rollercoaster at Busch Gardens, moves at 110 feet per second. The equation of the ride can be represented by the function h(t) = -16+ 101t +10. What is the maximum height reached by the ride?

I think the equation is :  h(t) = -16t^2 + 101t +10

The speed doesn't really matter....it just affects the time to reach the max, not the height itself.....

The t value of the max height  =  -101 / 2(-16)  =   101/32  = 3.15625.......this means it takes 3.15625 seconds to reach the max

So....putting this back into the function to find the max height, we get

h(3.15625)  = about 169.39 ft

Here's the graph that confirms this :https://www.desmos.com/calculator/mlkprdvvqh

cool cool cool
