Which sentence sounds better:

 

1. Maria doesn't like beets, but Daniel likes them even lesser.

2. Maria doesn't like beets, but Daniel likes them even less.

Lesser is grammatically incorrect in this situation. Therefore less is the only option. 

A better way to phrase this would be 

Maria dislikes beets, but Daniel dislikes them even more.
