x +1/x = 13/6

multiply both sides by 6x (common factor)

6x^2 + 6 = 13x

6x^2 -13x + 6 = 0

solve using quadratic formula

x = 2/3 x = 3/2

therefore 2/3 + 3/2 = 13/6 and 3/2 + 2/3 = 13/6
