\(\frac{1}{5}*100=20\)

I think there might be a slight language problem here.

The question is not worded very well but I think this is the meaning.

if i take 1/3 away from 300 then i take 1/5 away how much is left

if i take 1/3 (of 300) away from 300 then i take 1/5 (of the resultant value) away how much is left.

1/3*300=100

300-100=200

1/5 of 200 = 40

200-40 = 160
