How did you figure out how to solve for L

500=L((0.0239/12)/(1-(1+(0.239/12)^-60

Multiply both sides by (1-(1+(0.239/12)^-60

500 (1-(1+(0.239/12)^-60  =  L((0.0239/12)

Divide both sides by ((0.0239/12)

500 (1-(1+(0.239/12)^-60 / ((0.0239/12)  = L

P.S. -  you have mis-matched parentheses, so it's hard to tell exactly what "L" might be
