The length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle can be found using the Pythagorean theorem, which states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides.

Lets Review Pythagorean Theorem

There are 2 ways to do it

a2 + b2 = c2

another way

leg2 + leg 2 = Hypotenuse2

I was gonna show you but I press the wrong thing

It can be located across the 90 dgre angle

alright ill just show you a sample

12 in            x 2

               9in

the 90 dgree is next to the 12 in and 9 in so down from the 12 and left from the 9 one way you could write that is

leg2 + leg2 = hypotenuse2 so in this problom it would be like (Small 2 on top right) 9 2 + 12 2 = x2
