How do you add and substract binomials with fractional coefficients?

Hi,

I was struggling with binomials with fractional coefficients, e.g. x-1 _ x-1 = -7

Idea - find LCD of denominators

6[\(\frac{x-1}{3}- \frac{x-1}{2} = -7 \)]

2x - 2 - 3x + 3 = -42

-x + 1 = -42 \(\left \{ 43 \right \}\)

-1 -1

-x=-43

x = 43
